Balcony

Residential
& commercial

A balcony projects a platform from the wall of a building, supported by columns or brackets. Because it sits above the ground floor, a railing protects your safety.

Virginia Ironworks forges all types of balconies. Designs traditionally reference the origin of the balcony like Italian, Spanish or Mexican. Secondly, designs often note the shape and form of the picket like pot belly. Another example of a style is the ‘Juliet’ which does not protrude from the building, but is typically part of an upper floor, with a balustrade at the front for security. Additionally, a French style is actually a false balcony, with doors that open to a railing with a view of the courtyard or the surrounding scenery below.

Virginia Ironworks encourages clients to collect design styles from Pinterest and magazines. That way our clients make a sound decision on their choice. And we help with the design through our CAD services.
