Jared Mayers and the Mayers family
1940
Jared Mayers is the fourth generation to carry on the family name in the ironworks business. The company founded by his grandfather David “Did” Mayers in 1940, became one of the largest railing shops on the East Coast. In 1970 Jared’s father, Bill Mayers, started his own ironworks, and through his insistence on quality craftsmanship and client service, made it into the top choice of noted architects, interior decorators, landscape artists, builders, contractors and discerning homeowners. Jared is continuing the family tradition of unmatched quality and service, while adding enhanced design technology and capabilities to his company, Virginia Ironworks. Looking both to the past and the future, he is dedicated to bringing the beauty and craftsmanship of the family business to a new generation.
